GREEN DAY

Another fantastic green assembly at St. Joseph's this Friday. Big thank you to the players, Fr PJ, Malachy McAleese and Roisin Doherty, Keelan's grandmother, who came to show an All Ireland Camogie medal won by her aunt many years ago. A wonderful afternoon for all the kids.

Everyone at St. Joseph's wishes the players and management all the best for their semi-final on Sunday! Up Dunloy! 🔰

PADDY DONNELLY VISIT

We were very fortunate to have renowned local author Paddy Donnelly pay a visit to our school recently.

Paddy spent time with our P.4 and P.5 pupils where they enjoyed an afternoon of storytelling, creatively drawing mythical creatures as well as having their eyes opened to the wonder of nature and landscapes that we possess right on our own doorstep.

We learned that it is these landscapes and local nature which provide the inspiration for Paddy’s books and beautiful illustrations. We really enjoyed this workshop and the children are looking forward to reading a selection of Paddy’s books which we now have in our own school library.

GREEN DAY

We’d like to wish all the camogs and management the very best of luck as they compete in the county final this Sunday!
Thank you to everyone who took time out to visit school today for our green assembly.
Up Dunloy!!! 🔰

ZOOM CALL TO TEXAS

As part of their topic Healthy Body, Healthy Mind, Primary 5 made a live Zoom call to Texas! They spoke to Paul Donnelly who is a Paramedic/Firefighter from Farmer's Branch Station in Dallas.
The children asked lots of questions and got a tour of the fire truck and ambulance. They were amazed by all the equipment and protective gear that is used.
We would like to thank Paul and his colleagues for this amazing opportunity and for their time.
