P6 LEARNING IN ACTION!
We've had a fantastic start to our learning journey in Primary 6! Each week, we explore spelling through fun, hands-on activities using a variety of practical tools and complete a taskboard full of engaging challenges. In Numeracy, we've been diving into place value, multiples, and common multiples—building strong foundations while having lots of fun along the way!
ON OUR DOORSTEP: EXPLORING DOOEY’S CAIRN
As part of our topic On Our Doorstep, P6 have been learning all about Dooey’s Cairn – a fascinating Neolithic burial site located right here in our local area. We explored its history, structure, and significance, discovering how people lived thousands of years ago. To bring our learning to life, we went on a field trip to visit the site in person. It was an amazing experience to stand where ancient people once stood and see the cairn up close. We’ve come away with a deeper appreciation of the rich heritage that’s right on our doorstep!

CHRISM MASS
Primary 6 had a wonderful opportunity today visiting St. Peter’s Cathedral to celebrate the Mass of Chrism, led by Bishop Alan McGuckian. Many thanks to Fr. Devlin for organising the trip and for treating all the boys and girls to a delicious meal and ice cream.
