P3 TRIP TO ARTHUR COTTAGE

P6 TRIP TO SLIEVEANORRA MOUNTAIN

What a brilliant day our Primary 6 pupils had at Slieveanorra Mountain! The trip was packed with outdoor learning opportunities, from exploring the natural environment to discovering local wildlife. A fantastic experience for all!

FOOD BANK DRIVE
After launching our successful ‘Foodbank Drive’ at the beginning of Lent 2024 our School Council are running their thoughtful initiative again this year. Peter Roland from the Ballymoney Foodbank came to speak to our KS1/KS2 children this week to explain about all the good work being completed by his team in our local area. Although the Ballymoney Foodbank has helped those in need all over the North they primarily help families within a 5 mile radius of their base in Ballymoney. He also informed our pupils that we collected just over 250 kilograms of food during Lent 2024 which was outstanding! It really highlights the generosity of our community for which we are very thankful for.

Peter is going to return to our school during Easter week to see the children’s good work, to collect the food which will have been kindly donated and to thank our pupils in person. All food must be at least one month before its ‘out of date stamp’ on the date of collection meaning all food donated must have a date stamp of at least 16/05/2025 or after. This initiative is the idea of our School Council and is being driven by them. We are very proud of their continuing hard work.
