St. Joseph's Primary School & Nursery Unit
HISTORY
St. Joseph’s School dates back to 1937. In earlier years the school was known as ‘The Public Elementary School’. In 1963 it changed to ‘St. Joseph’s Boys & Girls’ , when the canteen and toilets were built on. Up until this point the children would have travelled home for their lunch and used outdoor toilet facilities. In 1977 the new modern end was built and with the amalgamation of the girls and boys, the school was renamed , 'St. Joseph’s Primary School'.

A group of Primary 7 children interviewed Mary Mc Lean about school life in the past and were instrumental in pulling together the history of our school to date.
