FOOD BANK DRIVE
Another week complete of St. Joseph’s Lenten Foodbank Drive and our School Council are overwhelmed by the generosity of our local community so far towards their initiative. We have filled two full tables and are aiming for a third to be filled within the next week! A big thank you to everyone for their kindness and generosity and let’s keep filling our foodbank over the next few weeks before our Easter break.

HOUSES AND HOMES

Thank you to our two P3 parents who gave up their time to come into school and talk to the P3 children about their jobs and the important roles that they carry out. This really helped bring the children’s learning to life in their World Around Us topic of Houses and Homes.

FOODBANK DRIVE

St. Joseph’s Lenten Foodbank Drive has now officially come to a close after another very successful campaign! Peter Roland returned to our school this morning to thank all the children and our wider school community for their charitable generosity over the last 6 weeks. Peter was genuinely knocked over by the quantity of supplies collected due to our School Council’s initiative to help others during Lent.

Our School Council would like to send a massive thank you to everyone who contributed to our foodbank.

EASTER RAFFLE

Congratulations to all our Easter Raffle winners!🐣Thank you to everyone who has very kindly supported our Lenten fundraising campaign this year. Your generous donations will help us support the work of Trocaire, alongside some other very worthwhile causes.

MASS OF CHRISM

Primary 6 had a wonderful day attending the Mass of Chrism at St. Peter’s Cathedral. They were then treated to a lovely meal and some delicious ice cream by Fr. Devlin. A heartfelt thank you to Fr. Devlin for his kindness and generosity.

HALF TIME GAMES

Well done to Kate who represented St. Joseph’s at half time during the Official Antrim GAA v Kilkenny game on Sunday in Corrigan Park!

AMBER

Congratulations to our amazing P3 children who graduated from the Fresh Little Minds Sunrise Programme yesterday. They have all been doing a super job looking after their class ‘puppy’ Amber who has helped them understand how to deal with tricky feelings and learn different ways to make their minds and bodies feel better. Well done everyone. 🐾 🐶
