School Council 2023/2024

FOODBANK DRIVE

Peter Rowland from the Ballymoney Foodbank came to speak to our KS1/KS2 children to explain about the good work being completed by his team in our local area. The Ballymoney Foodbank helps families within a 5 mile radius of their base in Ballymoney.

Our school will be running a 'Foodbank Drive', collecting non-perishable food donations, to help those who need it in our locality. All non-perishable food donations are welcome and must have a date stamp of at least 1/05/2024 or after.

Well done to our School Council for implementing this very worthwhile initiative.

FOODBANK DRIVE - WEEK 1 UPDATE
Our School Council are smiling with appreciation at the generosity shown by our school community during week one of our Lenten Foodbank Drive in St. Joseph’s.

We already have our first full trolley and that’s with a further 4 weeks of our initiative still to run. We are very excited now to see how many trolleys we can fill before our Easter break!

Great work and a big thank you to everyone. Let’s keep up the good work.

FOODBANK DRIVE - WEEK 2 UPDATE
Only the second full week of our Lenten Foodbank Drive and the School Council are in disbelief at the generosity shown by everyone so far.

We had hoped to perhaps fill our trolley once a week but today marked our *4th* full trolley of the initiative already! Thanks to everyone for their kindness and generosity so far and let’s keep filling the trolley for the next few weeks before our Easter break.

FOODBANK DRIVE - WEEK 3 UPDATE

Another week and another full trolley! Our school council have been overwhelmed at the generosity shown by our community to support their initiative! A big thank you to everyone so far. If you would still like to donate you have until Wednesday morning before the trolley will be wheeled out to Ballymoney Foodbank.
