ECO COUNCIL 2018/2019
We are delighted to present to you our new Eco Council Members. These children have worked very hard over the past month creating manifestos and presenting them to their class members with reasons why they should be part of the council. Elections were held within classrooms with staff supporting their manifestos. Our future will be green!!
June Planting
Our Eco Council pupils have been very busy planting pom pom dahlias in our raised beds. Mrs McCarry's class have grown them from seed and are looking forward to watching them flower. Hopefully we'll get a little bit of sunshine to help them along!
Some of our Primary Three children have enjoyed planting some summer bedding plants.
Litter Poster Competition
Our Eco Council organized a poster competition where pupils from P1-P7 had the opportunity to design a poster highlighting ideas how we can keep our school and community litter free. There were over seventy entries and the Eco Council members had a very difficult decision choosing the winners. Some of the entries are displayed below.
